MINISTRIES

Every parish has ministries that are essential aspects of parish life, and Saint Anthony’s is no different. The groups are listed below in alphabetical order.

EUCHARISTIC MINISTERS:

The lay ministers of the Eucharist are divided into two groups. One group assists at daily mass and at our weekend liturgies, and the other are ministers of the Eucharist to the sick at Falmouth Hospital and to the homebound in their homes. Connie Kiss, our parish secretary, coordinates the ministry to the homebound, and Bev Murphy schedules the ministry for the parish.

FAITH FORMATION:

The ministry of Faith Formation is a more apt title for the ministry of religious education or CCD. It is a ministry to the family and to the person. Pat Friel is our Faith Formation director. Click Faith Formation to link to the page.

PARISH NURSE:

Each Sunday our parish nurses are in the basement of the church to assist parishioners with answers to their questions, take their blood pressure, and address other health-related items. On Wednesday mornings at 8:30, this ministry offers an exercise class in the church basement. For more information, contact Maria Bairos.

PRAYER SHAWL MINISTRY:

This group meets twice on the first Tuesday of each month (from September to June). The first session is held in the Rectory at 10:00 a.m. and the evening group at the home of various parishioners. The contact person is Carolyn Malchodi.

RCIA:

The RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults) is for adults who have never been baptized, or have been baptized in another Christian church, or baptized Catholic but never received First Eucharist or Confirmation. This group meets most Tuesday evenings from September until Easter time. Contact the Parish Office or Faith Formation Office.

 FISHERMAN

The ocean is such a part of the life of parishioners of this Cape Cod community; this window reflects the hard work of the fisherman.
